Experimenting with different synth sounds & computer
technology as a teenager, the of production happened
instantly. Whilst studying for his degree in Commercial
Music, he specialised primarily in sound production through
the 2nd & 3rd years of the course, which left him with a
vast amount of studio techniques. However he is just as much
the performer as he is the producer after studying different
styles of music such as Classical, popular music, musical
theatre, Jazz, World Music and many more.
He has also been singing for over 7 years and has learnt
many different vocal techniques from his training. He has
been taught by several different vocal tutors such as Simon
Foster who has worked with Artists like George Michael,
Melanie C, Geri Halliwell & Daniel Bedingfield.
Mark has had a wide range of experience of performing to
different types of audiences with a range of venues from
smoky pubs to Canterbury Cathedral, open air festivals to
theatres and Abbey’s to Arts Centres. He has also worked as a
backup and lead vocalist in many bands and ensembles such as
*Fusion Funk *Vocal Acapella *Barbershop *Function Bands
*80’s band Wang Chung on numerous occasions (number 1 hits
such as “Dance Hall Days” & “To Live & Die in LA”) Mark is
also a signed artist to New York Based label & production
company Don E Productions which is set to gain him success,
with them snapping up his own material such as “Misled”
featuring his songwriting partner and Country singer ,Sarah
Lucy Dole. As well as focussing on his own career, Mark has
also worked for C3U records in Promotions & Media to help
promote other artists. He is also a well respected Vocal
Coach which again means he plays an important part in
developing budding musicians. His previous places of study
also include City College Norwich on a BTEC ND Popular
Music, Brighton Institute of Modern Music for a specialist
vocal course and he briefly attended a Music Technology
course at The Brit Academy of New Music (formerly known as
Access to Music). Watch out for Mark Bowman in the near
future with his Acoustic trio, Human League tribute act “The
Human Race” and a Pop Album to be released soon. The

2nd & 3rd years of the course, which has left me with a vast
amount of studio techniques.
You can hear samples of my work on this site which promote
mainly my production, sequencing and recording skills as
well as my vocal sound and keyboards. However, I am just as
much the performer as the producer after studying different
styles of music from Classical, popular music, musical
theatre, Jazz, World Music and many more.

TEACHING
I have been singing for over 7 years now and have learnt
many techniques from my training. My main genre is popular
vocal, so I tend to cover pop, jazz, rock and musical
theatre.
Over the years being a singer myself , I have been
thoroughly taught different vocal techniques by different
tutors (also taught by Simon Foster who has worked with
artists such as George Michael, Melanie C, Geri Halliwell &
Daniel Bedingfield).
I specialize in breathing technique and always make sure all
my students maintain a healthy voice. So in terms of vocal
coaching, I can work on tone, expression and can work
greatly with any confidence issues the student may have.
I can also provide keyboard & synth tuition (beginner to
intermediate)
EXPERIENCE
My experience in vocal tuition varies from teaching
performing arts students, summer workshops and on a one to
one basis.
I have had a wide range of experience of performing to
different types of audiences, with a range of venues from
smoky pubs to Canterbury Cathedral, open air festivals to
theatres, and Abbeys to Art's Centres. I have also worked as
a backup & lead vocalist in many bands and ensembles such
as:
• Fusion Funk,
• Vocal Acapella,
• Barbershop
• Many Function bands
• 80's band Wang Chung on numerous occasions (number 1 hits
such as "Dance Hall Days" & "To Live & Die in LA").
Also, check out the Human League tribute band I am in! See
"Human Race" in top friends!
My previous places of study also include City College
Norwich on a BTEC ND Popular Music course, Brighton
Institute of Modern Music for a specialist vocal course and
he briefly attended a Music Technology course at Access to
Music.
